TRANSPORT

Community Mobility Transport provides a variety of transport services throughout Telford and Wrekin:

Social Car Scheme
We provide transport to day centres for elderly and disabled people, and to education and social services for adults with learning disabilities or mental health problems and children with special needs .

Wrekin Community Cars
Under this scheme voluntary drivers help people who are unable to access public transport with essential journeys to doctors, opticians, etc. Passengers contribute 55% of the costs with Telford and Wrekin paying the balance.

Tail Lift Buses for the Disabled
We administer 5 buses for transporting groups to Age Concern day centres to take groups and clubs to meetings and on outings. The buses are available for hire.

Dial-a-Ride Bus
This scheme is shared with the Borough. They provide three buses and drivers and we handle bookings and information aswell as organizing the routes.

Wheels to Work
Again, this scheme is run in conjunction with the Borough and is aimed at people living in outlying areas who are unable to use public transport services to get to work.
