Telford & Wrekin CVS is in the process of planning its future strategy. To help us offer the services you need, we are asking Voluntary & Community Groups to give us their views via this survey.

TRAINING NEEDS SURVEY
We are researching the training needs in the Voluntary and Community Sector and need your help to get a clear picture of what is needed.
This survey will help us plan training for the year and should only take a couple of minutes to complete.
If you enter your organisation's details you will be entered into the prize draw on the 1st September 2009. You could win £25 for your organisation!

The next Village Hall Group will take place on Thursday 20th May 7-9pm at Little Wenlock Village Hall.
This is an opportunity to meet together with other hall representatives from Telford venues and discuss issues in common about running your hall.

We are trying to collate information about the impact of the recession on the Voluntary Sector. This will help us to inform the Office of the Third sector about the needs in the Telford area.

TARGETED SUPPORT FUND
THIS FUND IS NOW CLOSED
Part of the Government's Real Deal for Communities action plan, this fund is about helping charities and social enterprises, that provide advice, support and skills development services, to respond to increased demand as a result of the current economic downturn.
£197,402 has been allocated for distribution in Telford & Wrekin with grants available between £10,000 and £40,000 to be spent between 1st September 2009 and 31st March 2010.
The deadline for applications is: 29th June 2009.
If the fund is not allocated it will be returned to the Treasury.
To ensure that sufficient, appropriate applications are received by the deadline, please inform CVS if you are intending to apply as soon as possible, so that we can get a picture of the number and range of applications we can expect.

Do you know a community or charitable organisation that is looking for IT equipment and wants to get online? If so,they can apply for a BT Community Connextions award today.
BT Community Connections is an award scheme which enable community and charitable organisations to get online. Groups can apply for a laptop and a year's free boradband connection. Any organisation, working in any field of community benefit can apply. In the past voluntary projects, silver-surfers, conservation organisations, family support groups, sports teams and youth groups have been successful.
