Telford and Wrekin CVS exists to help people in their communities to:
- improve their quality of life
- work together to identify needs
- co-operate with each other
- develop partnerships with other agencies to meet need
Telford & Wrekin CVS
The CVS:
- encourages self help
- supports voluntary and community sector groups
- helps groups to find material resources
- recruits volunteers
- advises on setting-up, constitutions, employing staff, etc.
- promotes development of new or existing services
- transports elderly and disabled people to social facilities
How do we work?
The CVS consists of representatives of voluntary organisations and statutory bodies who are working in the area. It provides a forum for exchange of ideas and evaluation of services. An Executive Committee formulates policy which is then put into effect by professional staff working through special committees or working groups.
Membership and Benfits for Members
