CRB CHECKS - changes to the service
Unfortunately CVS is no longer able to conduct CRB checks on behalf of other organisations. This is due to the extensive changes to the requirements for CRB Umbrella bodies.
Groups needing CRB checks can either:
- Register in their own right (if you anticipate needing more than 100 checks per year) please note that there is a registration cost.
or
- Use the services of umbrella bodies throughout the UK.
Note: Verification of the identity of the person to be checked is now the responsibility of the designated person within the organisation. This means that this will not need to be checked by external organisations.
